Alternative Education

At Juventas we believe that all children and young people are equipped with the extraordinary potential for learning.

We bring a commitment and passion that is focused on ensuring children, young people and their families have every opportunity to grow, thrive and learn in safe quality assured nurturing environments.

We will achieve this with our team of outstanding educational specialists, youth workers, therapeutic practitioners, intervention support workers and family support workers through our guiding practices.

  • ‘Early Help’ through bespoke interventions with key objectives that link to educational outcomes.
  • Outstanding learning hub that is equipped to support the needs of our children and young people all year round.
  • Strong partnerships with our local and wider community of schools, colleges and multi-disciplinary network.
  • Positive family links to support a holistic approach.
  • Ongoing professional development and supervision with our team.
  • Multi-disciplinary working practices to meets the needs of the child and young person for the very best outcomes.
  • Robust safeguarding measures to keep children safe in education.
  • Dedicated educational coordinator as a point of contact to support the process of integrating into our alternative provision, monitoring educational progress and supporting reintegration and transitions.

Our educational packages are child centred. We will carefully match each child and young person with a support worker who will best meet their needs and enable that child or young person to reach extraordinary potentials. We not only have an outstanding learning environment on the outskirts of Norwich but also have access to most wonderful beaches, parks, woodlands, villages and towns that Norfolk offers.

Documentation is an integral part of the educational offer at Juventas and informs our practices and gives them structure. We will write detailed reports after each session so we can reflect on the learning and inform our next steps in how we can plan, extend knowledge. Documentation also allows us to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of our young people with the key stakeholders and protagonists in their lives. The reports also underpin the evidence required for AQA awards.

We can offer each child or young person an opportunity to work with us on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis depending on their needs. A unique and bespoke learning package will be planned for each session so that all our children and young people attending Juventas will engage in innovative learning.

Enrichment for all

Just because our young people are not currently in a mainstream provision that doesn’t mean we want them to miss out on the enrichment that they typically would encounter at school. Over the year we plan to enrich their sessions further through several different experiences these may include – rock climbing, guest speakers, online training, community volunteering, acting, film making, cookery, woodwork and much more.
